GUARANTEE

New instruments are covered by the manufacturer's warranty for one year from the date of purchase. Each instrument is carefully checked by our technicians, prior to despatch, to ensure it reaches the customer in perfect condition.

If goods become defective under warranty, Hayes Music Limited will remedy the problem by either repair, or if deemed necessary, by replacement of the goods within a reasonable period of time.

If goods become defective within fourteen days of receipt, and under warranty conditions, Hayes Music will either collect the goods from the original delivery address (UK Mainland only) or refund reasonable and agreed costs incurred by the customer in the return carriage of the goods (UK Mainland only).

If goods become defective after fourteen days of receipt, it is the customer's responsibility for the return and all shipping costs of the faulty goods.

Hayes Music will not accept warranty claims via a third party.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all items are properly and securely packaged before return.

Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect your statutory rights under the law of England.

SHIPPING & HANDLING

We will deliver your goods within a couple of working days if in stock. If the item you have ordered is unavailable you will be notified via email or telephone and it will be sent it as soon as it is in stock.

Postage and packing charges are calculated according to a combination of the weight and value of the goods ordered and the delivery location. This charge will be shown in your shopping basket.

Non-delivery or damage of goods

If your goods are not delivered to you within seven days of the despatch date you must notify us immediately, otherwise we cannot accept responsibility for the lost goods. You will be notified of the despatch date by e-mail when we send the goods.

Any claim arising from damage in transit must be made to Hayes Music Ltd immediately upon receipt of the goods. Please check the cases and contents immediately upon receipt, and before signing for them.

Goods seen to be damaged should be signed "Damaged in transit" and packaging materials should be preserved for inspection. Damaged goods must be reported within two days of delivery otherwise Hayes Music Ltd cannot accept responsibility.

BACK ORDERS

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

TAX CHARGES

All prices are shown including VAT at the current applicable rate. Where VAT is applicable, it is shown in our Web Site catalogues at UK rates even if you have registered as a non-UK customer.

We are required by law to collect VAT at UK rates on orders despatched to countries within the European Union.

Title to Goods

Hayes Music Ltd retains full title to all goods supplied until paid for in full. In the event of the customer's insolvency, Hayes Music Ltd reserves the right to reclaim goods for which full payment has not been made.

CREDIT CARD SECURITY

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption.  They are only decrypted after they reach our computer.  They are not held in clear text on any web site.

RETURNS POLICY

If the goods you receive are faulty please return them to us in their original condition within seven days and we will either repair or replace them, or refund the cost of the goods. If the goods you receive are not what you ordered, please return them to us in their original condition within seven days and we will either replace them with the goods you ordered, or refund the cost of the goods and carriage.

In addition to the above, you may in most cases return any goods within seven working days of receipt without giving any reason. Postage in these instances is non-refundable and the goods must be in their original condition.

Please call us before returning any goods.

If you choose to return any goods you must ensure that the goods are properly packaged and sent at your cost by a secure carrier. It is your responsibility to take reasonable care to ensure that they reach us undamaged.

If you do not pay for the cost of return then we may deduct the cost of retrieving the goods from any refund due to you in respect of the order. We recommend that you use a recorded delivery service for all returns, with appropriate insurance to cover the value of the items being returned.

If a refund is due to you it will be made as soon as possible within 30 days.
