The HAYES MUSIC brass repair workshop is now on-site at the shop premises, we can offer a wide range of services from a replacement waterkey cork to a complete re-lacquer or silver plating.
Repairs are dealt with on a 'first come, first serve' basis but certain quicker jobs
can now be done while you wait, eliminating the need for a return journey to collect.

A full service would involve:

  • Complete strip down of instrument – valves and tuning slides
  • Valves, valve casing and tuning slides checked & repaired
  • Instrument cleaned – inside & out
  • Reassembled – valve felts, springs and waterkey corks changed as required
  • Instrument checked and played

  • Re-assemble instrument – regulate and setup
  • Lubricate all key-work

MAJOR SERVICE

  • Dismantle instrument – clean body and key-work
  • Repair any damaged key-work or body dents
  • Replace all pads
  • Replace any cork, felt or springs if needed
  • Re-assemble instrument – regulate and setup
  • Lubricate all key-work

 

MAJOR SERVICE PLUS

  • A Major Service – plus extra work – this service normally applies to older instruments where mechanisms have become worn etc and require a more custom approach.
  • Price quoted on inspection
