The HAYES MUSIC brass repair workshop is now on-site at the shop premises, we can offer a wide range of services from a replacement waterkey cork to a complete re-lacquer or silver plating.
Repairs are dealt with on a 'first come, first served' basis but certain quicker jobs
can now be done while you wait, eliminating the need for a return journey to collect.

A full BRASS service would involve :-

Complete strip down of instrument
Valves, valve casing and tuning slides checked & repaired
Instrument cleaned – inside & out
Reassembled – valve felts, springs and waterkey corks changed as required
Instrument checked and played


WOODWIND servicing is available on three levels :-

STANDARD SERVICE
Repair any damaged key-work – part dismantle if necessary
Replace any cork or felt if needed
Adjust regulation and setup
Lubricate all key-work

GENERAL SERVICE
Dismantle instrument – clean body and key-work
Repair any damaged key-work
Replace any cork or felt if needed
Re-assemble instrument – regulate and setup
Lubricate all key-work

MAJOR SERVICE
Dismantle instrument – clean body and key-work
Repair any damaged key-work or body dents
Replace all pads
Replace any cork, felt or springs if needed
Re-assemble instrument – regulate and setup
Lubricate all key-work
